For tournament directors
Every event,
every time.
The back-office platform for tournament directors. Registration, entry fees, weigh-in, leaderboards, payouts — handled. You focus on the event. We handle the rest.
No monthly fee. No setup cost. 1.5% per entry ($0.25 minimum, no cap) only when you actually collect — money flows directly to your bank, not ours.
Three things that matter at a real tournament
Built around the parts of running an event that actually go wrong — money flow, payout speed, and signal-dead venues.
Money flow
Your money goes to your bank, not ours
Entry fees flow directly from participants into your Stripe account. We can't hold, freeze, or take it. If WellRunEvents disappears tomorrow, your money is still yours.
Payout speed
Same-day payouts to winners
Once results lock, one tap disburses prize money via Stripe Connect — winners receive funds in 1–2 business days. No more writing checks at the next club meeting.
Field-tested
Works at venues without cell coverage
Walk-up registration handles dead zones with deferred-charge, QR-code-to-checkout, and cash-recorded paths. Tap-to-Pay when you have signal; fallback paths when you don't.
What you actually run
From your director console to the public-facing leaderboard your spectators watch from the launch ramp.

Frequently asked
What if my venue has no cell coverage?
Walk-up registration has three offline-tolerant paths. QR-to-checkout sends the angler to Stripe on their own phone (works on any nearby signal — yours or theirs). Tap-to-Pay activates when you have a connection. Cash entries record locally and reconcile when you regain signal. You're never stuck.
How fast does prize money actually reach winners?
Once you lock results, one tap initiates Stripe Connect transfers to each winner's connected debit card or bank account. Funds typically land in 1-2 business days. No checks, no club-meeting handoffs, no IOUs.
Do I need a Stripe account already?
No. Right after signup we walk you through Stripe Express onboarding — about three minutes, no business documents required for personal accounts. Stripe handles the identity verification, and entry fees flow directly to your bank from there forward, never through us.
What happens if my tournament gets canceled or rained out?
If anglers were charged at registration, you can refund them with one click — though Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee per entry isn't refundable on their end. We're rolling out a deferred-charge option (cards saved at registration, charged the morning of the event) so cancellations cost you nothing.
Why not just use Excel and Venmo like we always have?
You can. The math gets messy at scale: missed entries, unreconciled cash, lost SMS payment confirmations, and tax-time receipt-hunting. WellRunEvents gives you a single audit-grade record of every entry, weigh-in, and payout — automatically formatted for IRS 1099-K filing through Stripe. The 1.5% buys back the hours you'd otherwise spend in spreadsheets.
